Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Kitchen Heirlooms is a small, family-run recipe archive. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell data or show ads.
If you're just browsing
You don’t need an account, and we don’t set tracking cookies. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (including IP addresses) for security and operations. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count page views in aggregate — they cannot identify you.
If you're a contributor
Contributors sign in with Google. We store only your name and email address, used to manage access and to credit your recipes. A session cookie keeps you signed in — that’s the only cookie on the site, and it is strictly necessary. We never see your Google password, and we request no access to your Google data beyond your basic profile.
Recipe stories
Recipes may include family stories and names written by their contributors. Contributors are responsible for what they share; if something about you appears in a story and you’d like it changed or removed, write to us and we will sort it out.
Services we rely on
- Google Sign-In — authentication for contributors only
- Our hosting and image-storage providers, which process data on our behalf
Retention and your rights
Contributor details are kept while the account is active. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal information — email hello@kitchenheirlooms.com and we’ll respond promptly. Published recipes remain credited to their contributors unless they ask otherwise.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Questions: hello@kitchenheirlooms.com.
